The film traces the lives of African American entrepreneurs over 150 years, shining a light on the story of resilience and resistance in the face of racial hostility and violence, economic exclusion, segregation and discrimination. BOSS touches on business icons from Madam C.J. Walker to Berry Gordy, all the way through to 21st-Century success stories like Richelieu Dennis of Shea Moisture, America’s richest Black Billionaire Robert F. Smith and venture capital investor Arlan Hamilton.
